In one study, the Vula app played a central role in connecting private GPs to free public-sector TB testing, enabling real-time communication, specimen transport, and rapid access to results. Through this system, 100 people with TB were swiftly linked to treatment, most within two days, demonstrating how Vula can bridge gaps between private and public care to improve TB management in South Africa.
